Tinker Field
Tinker field was named for baseball Hall of Famer Joe Tinker best remembered as the shortstop in the Tinker to Evers to Chance double play combination. Tinker Field opened in 1914 and is located in Orlando, Florida. It was the spring training site for the Cincinnati Reds from 1923 until 1931 and the Brooklyn Dodgers for 1934 and 1935. Starting in 1936 until 1990 it was spring training site for the original Washington Nationals/Senators, who became the Minnesota Twins after relocation from Washington DC in 1960. Today the field is hardly used except for some high school baseball games.
